As of December 13th PJ, CCT, TACP and Special Recon vision requirement states that your uncorrected distant vision cannot be worse than 20/200 in both eyes and both eyes must be correctable to 20/20 with contacts or glasses. TACP requires a passing depth perception test as well. If you do not meet the vision requirement, it can be waived with a civilian eye consult.
First step is to speak with the career advisor make sure your current AFSC can release you and that you are in your retraining window. Depending on where you are stationed (as of now) spec ops recruiters cannot give you a PAST test. So you will need to travel to a base with a special tactics unit or rescue SQ on it and have them conduct a PAST test for your package. Keep in mind don’t do this too early because they are only valid for approx. 6 months.
