Kris Tomes has done it all. As a member of the “5 Foot and Under Brigade” (like Peaches), Kris battled adversity to become a Paraescueman. His pipeline stories are that of epic Greek novels. Or novellas? Which one is shorter? googles* It’s a novella. Anyway enough with the short jokes, you get it. Kris had a great career as a PJ, finishing his time out as an Instructor- but he wasn’t done giving back yet. His passion is helping people get into AFSPECWAR, and his next mission manifested itself when he became a Special Operations Recruiter. Kris sits down with us and talks literally everything, from starting the process to common mistakes to development, to what drove him to succeed in Assessment and Selection, the pipeline, as a Pararescueman, and how he applies those lessons learned today, helping YOU Earn Each Breath. We love TSgt Tomes, and we appreciate having his fiery self on. Have a great week of training and remember- Regret is Hell. 🦉

On this episode of the Ones Ready podcast we sit down with Kris Tomes who is a Pararescueman, prior INDOC instructor, and now a Special Operations Recruiter.  After speaking with Kris, it's clear that he epitomizes motivation and he's absolutely the type of person I would have wanted to have as an A&S instructor.  He's motivational, positive, and wants to see you succeed.  Kris touches on some of the requirements to join, character traits he's seen that are successful and also what not to do, what motivates him, and some frequently asked questions of candidates.  It was a pleasure speaking with him and if you're not motivated after this episode, there is no hope for you.  We promise you don't want to skip through any of this episode!  Please enjoy the episode and give us your feedback. If you liked it and feel so inclined, please leave us a review.  If we didn’t answer your questions, please let us know, and thank you for your support!
